This month they are prompt and published the date on correct date.
I cant beleive Eb2 NSC is 2008.
(Last month I had sent a complaint email to ombudsman since there was a major delay in publishing. My summary was if USCIS is not able to manage a small publishing dates, how will they manage large pile of applications.
Ombudsman had replied to this email.

I filed for I-485 under EB3 category in July 2007 and have a priority date of March 2003. Since EB3 is not moving at all. I applied in EB2 category and got I-140 approved based on my old Priority date(March 2003).
My attorney sent a letter to USCIS and requesting them to approve my case based on my approved I-140 (EB2) in July 2009. Since then we haven't received any communication from them.
My case is current as of Aug 1st 2009 but no LUD's on my case.
How would I know that USCIS have changed my case from EB3 to EB2.
I apperciate your response in this regard.
If your new I-140 has the 2003 priority date on it and you have confirmed with the USCIS that your I-485 is now based on the EB-2 filing, i would wait for a couple of months, you have a good chance of approval of your I-485 if the visa number remains current for the next few months.
If you don't hear from them or if you are not sure that your new I-140 has been successfully interfiled with your pending I-485, then you could also apply for a new i-485 based on the EB-2 I-140. The USCIS might ask you which I-485 you want to keep as you are not allowed to file 2 adjustment cases. For cases that are current, i have recently noticed that they are approving I-485's in 2-3 months.

I think H1B quota should be decreased because lots of people available with no jobs in the market, it looks like survival of fittest, even person with good skill set not getting job immediately due to new new consulting company coming into market doing irregular things like less rates etc etc�����. to survive themselves.

You can search for various attorney's (including Rajiv of immigration.com and Murthy of murthy.com) answers for ur specific question either in their websites or thru google. I did some research on this specific thing in the past and also had confirmed with immigraion HR in my company. So I am pretty much sure that you are not counted against the cap. You would need to apply before the visa (F1/opt period) expires so that you dont get to stay in US without any valid visa. so no hurry and dont worry about adv degree cap.

You don't need to be working in the US while the AOS is pending. You just need to have the job when permanent residence is approved, or to have a job in the "same or similar occupational classification."
what should i do if at the time of actual AOS ( The day they adjudicate my case ) I am working for another company since the actual sponsoring company is closed down ?

I thought you can be with out a job for 6 months while AOS pending. Not on H1, but in EAD.
I think ashkam is missing the main point here. You are on EAD which is based on an employment based GC application where you have to be employed all the time. You (EAD and people who are on H1) are not supposed to tell that are unemployed! Duh!
A people who are on H1 (same goes to people with EAD based on a employment based GC) and out of payroll for more than 28 days (not sure about the exact # of days, some says 42 days), you are out of status.
So think twice before you disclose that you are unemployed.

situation is quite different from CA. True, for first time driver's license, you have to show legal status proof. But, you are issued license for 4 years, irrespective of when your current status expires.
For DL renewal in CA, it happens by mail. You once again get 4 year license. No status proof required.
There is definitely no concept of different form of DL in CA where an officer will be able to receogize from the DL, whether is PR or not, as has become the law in Texas.
CA is quite cool with respect to DL renewals.

A US company is a US company, be it Microsoft, or Cap Gemini, or whatever. For all you know, you may be working with Oracle's consulting division. Are you considered direct employee for Oracle or from a consulting company?
I have friends from Microsoft and Oracle who just got approved after 7 years + in EB2. I also know people from Consulting companies who got approved in 4 years.
I do not think there is any logic or facts to support this argument.

someone just woke up after 8 months, now asking the agenda, not willing to spare a penny or bring in energy, but wants an "update" about the date & time he will get his GC in mail. Is that something new, NO, its been a consistent behavior, that's why I never liked gjoe.

I didn't want an update. I know what is going on and also when we will get our GC. I just wanted to make you realize that your goals and actions are not in sync. I hope you understand what that means.

Just want to know that I have submiited following documents along with it, are they sufficient/enough to get approval?
1. Resume
2. Master's mark sheets,Degree & Transcript
3. Bachelor's Mark Sheets,Degree & Transcript
4. Previous H1B Approval Copies
5. Old & New passport copies
6. I-94 Copy (Front & Back)
7. Client Letter with resposiblities,role,technologies & project details (without end date)
8. Business card for me from client
9. Business card for Client Manaager
10. Vendor Letter with resposiblities & project details (stating that can't provide contract papers between vendor & client due to client's policy)
11. Last six months pay checks.
12. Last three years W2’s (2007, 2008, 2009)
