The government wants to make sure that, as online piracy moves increasingly to streaming, the law keeps up with the activity. Currently, "reproducing" and "distributing" copyrighted works are felony charges, and they cover peer-to-peer file-sharing.

What do you think about this? I personally agree with what the full article points out, streaming is like holding a public performance without a proper license which is not a felony.

Did you try removing and re-pairing the (bluetooth) Magic Mouse in System Preferences?
You will probably have to use a USB mouse to get to System Preferences until the Magic Mouse is again paired to the iMac Bluetooth.

It seems these ads are almost a carbon copy of US versions which are translated into Japanese. In one of the ads, the PC guys says he uses clock with PC while the Mac guy says he likes using iLife and all. Have you noticed the PC guy was using the fuggly looking belt case for iPod?
On the second ad, the Mac and PC guys were talking about why people call Macintosh computers Mac. The PC guy is jealous that Mac sounds like a friend and he wants to get a nick name rather than a mundane name PC. So, a Mac guy said PCs are used for work and suggested the PC guy's nick name would be "Work." The PC guys digged that nick name.
The virus commercial is almost identical with the US version.

Picked up the Keystation 49e from the apple store the other day. Best midi keyboard for its price/size, atleast that I've seen. Anyway, now that I can carry my Powerbook anywhere I want, Im looking for a way to carry my keyboard. Don't wanna travel with a towel wrapped around my Keystation. Any suggestions?

I really dont care about speeds anymore, its more like i care what my computer can do. which my mac can do much more than my pc. but one thing about these benchmarks. it takes apple two processors to almost beat amds and intels chips. i think apple would be in better shape if they could come this close with a single chip, lets hope that those ibm chips with apple rumors are true.

In actuality the new 1.25ghz Dual G4 is the 3rd fastest consumer PC in the market. It almost matches the fastest AMD processor and is just slightly behind Intels PIV 2.8 ghz machine. I totally agree. Why anyone would hold out for that color and why Apple spent so much time trying to get that white paint to work properly is beyond me.

There is no such thing as a "crop camera"
FOVCF is the technical term for a crop sensor or crop camera. It stands for FIELD OF VIEW CROP FACTOR, whereby the sensor doesn't see the full image projected from a standard 35 mm format lens (EF lens in this case)
Nikon also created a FULL FRame camera a while back that also had the ability to create a "cropped" image to increase it's rate of capture to achieve results in FPS that were similar to canon's 1D series bodies. Effectively if it captured less pixels per image, it could do so faster.

Haha... I don't think so. On the face of it this seems like Apple's marketing team have jumped the gun on this announcement - however I'm guessing Steve Jobs sanctioned this as a swift poke in the eye to Microsoft on Zune launch day.
It's showing the industry how creative Apple are being when it comes to their plans for iPod. They have a lot of cool stuff in store for us that Microsoft aint even thought of yet!!

Do people feel there is an improvement there?
In terms of Word proccessing I mean, not all the other things like Spreadsheet, Database etc
After all that is what Pages (and Keynote) are suppose to be doing, they are replacements

Yeah, tell me about it (looks down at my Quad). But honestly, I think it will suck even more for Adobe, as they are really limiting themselves in the market that they can reach. Come on Adobe, it wouldn't be THAT hard to code according to Apple's Universal standards, would it?
Then again, they may be trying to go for the optimal performance possible. I blogged about this a while ago (http://web.mac.com/longofest/iWeb/Blog%20Corner/Tech%20Fest/09B771A2-EF7E-4BD7-8172-9CB5E15A06EE.html), and how Universal Binaries using the Accelerate framework may not always give you all the performance options available to a program.

I have always gamed on laptops - M17x, M11x, MBP, VAIO Z... list goes on and on. Add the Air to that list now. The 320M is a very capable chip and it can play many modern games at medium settings smoothly.
The way you describe laptop chipsets makes you sound like you've only ever tried laptop gaming with a GMA500 :p

It's so you can have analog and digital audio and video, remote control commands, and various types of protocols coming out of one port. All the user needs to do is buy the one they need.
