Hey ppl - Question for anyone who applied for a passport recently in NY embassy. The website states that they need 35mm * 35mm photographs. Are they strict about it or you can use the standard PP size photograph here in the US 50mm * 50 mm?

There is a provision of filing for AOS using section 245(k), where it permits the application to file for AOS if his unlawful presence is less than 180 days after his recent entry in United states. You should be good

I appreciate your enthusisam to respond to most of the negetive comments and thats a good thing. Try to contain yourself sometimes...otherwise people might just ignore you as another loud mouth.
ya, lets step-up a poll and have everyone vote, as if this is the US congress. And after voting leave it for someone else to work on this and other "brilliant" idea. There needs to be a reality check. This poll doesn't mean anything unless there are enough people to spend time and energy at every level. But ya, lets setup a poll and have everyone vote, it will give everyone a feel good factor that everyone contributed in the advocacy effort, how? by voting in the pool and not doing anything about how everyone votes.

In EB2 I, is 2003 all clear? I have not seen anybody (except one who had Dec 03 ...sorry forgot the user id). So is it safe to assume that 2004 is the oldest.

I filed my I-485 last July (PD March 2005). It was transferred from the TSC to the NSC and since Dec 2007 it has been untouched too.
This is really depressing. My hopes were raised so high when the cut-off dates for EB2-I jumped forward over two years .. only to be dashed when they moved back to 2003!!
Thats when I decided to write to these incompetents.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct in saying that all the forums mention EB2 and very little attention is shed on EB3. I wonder why! Is it because EB2 recepients are more actively involved on IV? Or because EB3 recepients are quieter? Both these situations lend themselves to the bias towards EB2. And ultimately lead to one thing - more being done for EB2. I am EB2 and believe you me - I'm not complaining.
Sadly though, the number of EB3 applicants is many many times the number of EB2. So, there's something to be said for participation and having your voice heard. It is no wonder then that we as a group are dismal at having our collective voices heard - we don't participate like our lives depended on it. And in this case our entire lives depend on what's going on...
So, instead of bickering and blaming, why don't we awaken the giant that is EB3 India and China and have them participate as well...maybe we'll be able to kill many many birds (country limits, DC rallies, contributions to IV and lobbying activities, phone call campaigns, letter campaigns...) with just one stone....just thinking out loud...that's all...

If we do end up setting a separate PayPal account, I would suggest getting the data and sending it via PM to members who contribute. Not sure why the information needs to be shared with people who never contribute.

I respect the efforts done by IV for whole community to come out of this real time problem.
inthe begening people were saying something about IV updates as it appears to be false but IV proved that they were right and accurate and I think that makes community to trust IV.
I would l like to say a big time thank you to IV to make all the faces smily.
