I would love to donate blood, however I am illegible because of Mad Cow disease. In addition, if you've traveled anywhere with Malaria, I believe you can't within 1 year. If you've lived in a Malaria area, you can't for 3 years.

By September 28 all the Visas are exhausted(2009 Quota). Please see the thread "September Visa Approvals". Infact some one was saying USCIS stopped issuing GC for the last week as they have used all visas. That may be the case they would have withdrawn approved GC
But try all the possibilities like SR, Infopass, Congressman, etc and let the local office be aware of Oct Visa bulletin and now are current and visas are available.

Hi, Both my wife's and my approval notices state a WAC number. And I am stuck in PIMS for past 27 days now!!!!!!!!:mad:
Email AILF about this. this is not acceptable. I have already mailed a letter to AILF since my attorney advised me to do so. We need to make them aware that this new PIMS system is causing hardship for many of us.

I guess everybody should support Rolling and Sunny because this initative will create an opening for all other immigration issues.
Everyone waiting for years to get their GC has a real reason to think why USCIS didn't do their job right.
I would say if Sunny and Rolling stone really file a lawsuit, it is like they turning the spotlight on USCIS and from there the rest us can work to bring more light to the bigger issues with USCIS

Siva tells me that the flowers are indeed being delivered to the USCIS office. It has created quite a stir.
Of course, we do need to keep the entire campaign in perspective. It is not something that Brian Williams is going to open his evening news with. In fact, he might not cover it at all. After all, when you compare it with the immigration rallies of last year - this is miniscule.
But we did generate quite a bit of media attention with this, we did prove that the skilled, legal immigrant community can take collective action and we did prove that the decisions made by US lawmakers and the beaureaucracies end up hurting real people behind the numbers.
I think all that was worth my 30 dollars.

Finally, we got the approval emails for self & wife.
I had got an email from TSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov last friday (09/17/2010) with the update below-
1: The review was complete
2: Visa numbers were requested 2 months ago and all security/prints are current
3: Files have been forwarded to officers for completion.

The Durbin-Grassley bill would, among other things:
� Prohibit the blatantly discriminatory practice of "H-1B only" ads and prohibit employers from hiring additional H-1B and L-1 guest-workers if more than 50 percent of their employees are H-1B and L-1 visa holders.

I agree with immi2006. We set ourselves apart by the Flower campaign indicating that we are law abiding and peaceful.
If some one can come up with a format which shows the tax dollars we have paid so far and the social security we have contributed and we can extrapolate it to encompass the total estimated number of EB immigrants. That would be a sizable number and will wake everyone up. If we distribute this to all the Senators/Congressmen and media it could have a huge impact.
Maybe all IV members can send the two figures:
Lifetime tax paid- One figure
Contribution to SS- One figure
We can put this in a presentable format with a write up and publish it. More ideas and thoughts please.

How is giving tax break to the business helping us in the time of recession? If your company is not selling products, it will hire more to do what? The tax cut will simply go to executives and there will be layoffs. Trickle down economy is a scam.
Did you compare Obama's tax plan with McCain's. Go to CNN and you will that you will get more from Obama than from McCain's tax cut. How is universal health care bad? There are 50million without healthcare here. Soon your company will say that it cannot pay your healthcare plans because it is getting costly. The middle men(insurance companies) maybe eating more of your money than the actual health care costs. The long lines are due to less available doctors, not because of universal healthcare.

It is a general misconception that this is a part of Lord McCauley’s speech to British Parliament because Lord McCauley arrived in India on 10th June 1834 and returned to England in early 1838. If in 1835 he was in India then how could he have delivered a speech in the British Parliament. Let me also add that he arrived in India by a 3 month long journey by ship so there is no chance that the Lord made a quick visit to England for delivering this speech.

For example 27th Oct 1838 the Missouri Governor (LW Boggs) issued extermination order against Mormons allowing for Mormons to be shot on sight. But Mitt Romney is safe to campaign there because the order was rescinded on 25th June 1976

What are u guys trying to acheive and how will this help EB3 India?
Also, how is the spillover going to be distributed among EB3? First EB3 ROW and then EB3 C/I as in the old system?
Personally, I think the visa recapture bill would help things quite a bit.

Both cases are genuine, not involving any labor substitution, so we can only hope that they are not rejected.
We cannot file both together, becoz if one is entered in the system before the other, the second will get automatically rejected.

I also used to think so, but in reality many people waiting for GC have bought houses already (on an IV poll ~50% of some 500 respondents)

Do you have postal address or fax of Ombudsman office readily available with you? I remember having seen it, but can't quickly find it. I will send my details to Mr. . USCIS simply brushed aside the issue of FIFO by just saying that it could only be a rare case of an error or special attention needed, which obviously is not true.
