Did you or someone you know experience such questions at POE for an advanced parole? Or are you just posing a hypothetical?
I have recently re-entered on AP and not a single question was asked. Not only that, I was not fingerprinted or photographed at the counter like a visa holder would be. I was taken to the back office where an agent entered information from my AP into the computer, stamped the AP and gave it back to me. No questions asked. Period. This was at the JFK airport in NY.
Parole is meant to grant entry to resume adjustment of status. Parole is not subject to employment, it is subject to a pending I-485.
If this is a hypothetical from you, then please shake these imaginations and live in peace and enjoy EAD and AP.
Too much thinking and too much analysis has caused this community to revert back to H1 lifestyle and they are not using EAD and AP - ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS why we were all so happy due to 485 filing.

The situation now is different. We could not even pool $10K for FOIA. For lobbying, one needs lots and lots of money in the range of 100K -200K. What can IV do? Can you explain what you mean by "something'? if all of us EB3's can pool 100K, then we can request IV to do "SOMETHING". Hope every one understands this.

It appears form the wording in the text that, anyone who has maintained a continuous stay for at least 5 years preceding and up to the date of enactment of this bill, gets to apply for AOS and be granted permanent residence.
so with respect to EB folks, this provides GC aspirants (with 5 year stay) an immediate relief. The total quota numbers are not modified. Everything stays as is. This appears to be a one time relief to free up the choke in the system (at least for EB).

IMO, we all are in the same path, some ahead of others, but basically belong to the same larger SET. Some of us have faced the problems that students are facing now, and in all likelihood these students will face the same problems that we are facing now. More personally though, I always think, if only I knew more about the GC process back when I was in school( 12 years ago), I'd have been much better now.
If we start digging a well every time we are thirsty it takes forever to get anything done. To give a 4 letter word why students must participate-(not what you think, dirty minds:)) STEM

msgs like this help establish the notion that this is an indian website dedicated to indian immigration issues. I didnt see any post wishing happy Eid/ Eid Mubarak nor did I notice last year that anyone wished a Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays, nor do we wish our Chinese friends a Happy Chinese New Year.
The people who wants to be a part of American Society should first definately be a very open minded towards all cultures and social trends.
Other thing to be Indian or representing Indian traditions is not a crime but certainly every time barking against anything Indian may certainly be a crime as it is a clear indication of closed door or prejudicial mind towards one particular country and culture. I have seen lots of posts about pre-adjudication..how do we know if any case has been pre-adjudicated or not?...recently i got an RFE on my spouse case for Marriage Certificate and Birth certificate bonafide..there is no RFE on my case and had an FP done on 08/11/2009 second time and noticed soft LUD on my case on the day of FP...dose this means they are working on my case...:confused::confused:

I did online MS degree and it took 3 years, although I could have completed it in 2.5 years. First year I completed only 1 course per sem, then I started doing 2 per sem. I took non-thesis option and the total cost was aprx 15K from ISU. Thye charge flat rate fee per subject ( aprx 3 credits) irrespective of residency requirements (you can actually do this course from anywhere in the world and it would cost the same) . This degree requires 30 total credits (one of them must be a project, so technically only 9 subjects/courses to take).

Please let us know what can we do to help our cause here. I am ready to drive, meet, talk to any one I can to push things here. For NRE account, you can easily send money to india and then repatriate it back. But in my case I have money to my NRE and bought an apartment. Now since i have sold that apartment, that money is in NRO account which is a one way account. You can only send money to NRO but you cannot get that money back in dollars from it.
Talking about getting money thru travellers check, you can do that only if you go to india and come back here in US with it....since you have to sign it at both places. Also there is a limit of $1500 for TC's when you come from India. Limitations....limitations....limitations.
If we send money to India for investment purposes.....all you will get is LOSS.

What is your wife's situation, is it simple H4 to EAD? I have seen dependent EADs delayed if they are coming from F1.
