May be it is worth it or may be not....In www.cnn.com there is a section (on the left hand side) asking what the democrats should do first. (They are basically asking our opinion)
I wrote down some items that I thought they should discuss, namely, in the area of legal immigration relief for EB categories.
We probably wont gain anything out of it; at the same time, it doesnt hurt to send them our opinion.

I tried to find the thread posted by PAPPU on ability to pay. Could some one help me with this?
PAPPU:long time back I had posted something on ability to pay. look into the archives. Are you currently employed with this company?what is your current wage? what is the size of the company? how long has the company been in business? what has been the income in the past few years? how much cash do they have in bank? Do they have any external funding? how well do you know the owner? How many people have filed for GC in your company?
Ability to pay is a complicated issue to be answered without knowing all the details. Remember all the data needs to be fully legal (your small time employer should not be saving taxes by using tactics that help him financially but are not right thing to do) and correct and your employer should be willing to help you with all the information. This issue is not difficult to solve. With the help of a good lawyer who knows about the intricacies of ability to pay and takes active interest in your case and a good experienced CPA you can easily overcome it.

I should have elaborated this more. I read that ppl applying for H1B stamping were asked about this. They were actually issued 221 G and were asked to furnish extra documents and this was one of them.
I have no clue what is this and if this applies to everyone. I even found that ppl were asked to furnish notarized list of employees along with tax returns of the company. I hope this is not valid for every case.

Hi,
I lost my jon w/big software consultancy. I found another project and then applied for H1-B transfer with Indian consulting company. Its been almost 1 month since new company have filed for H1-B transfer and renewal (my H1-B was expring on July 6th, 2009).
so far, i've not received any H1-B recipt. I'm worried about it. I'm also getting married in the last w/e of Nov, 2009. Is it a good idea to file for Premimum processing.

First, your attorney needs to call USCIS and ask if they received your application and get a receipt number. Then, you can file a form I-907 to upgrade it to premium processing. Moreover, you cannot start working for a company until you get a receipt notice, so this could cause issues to you incase you already started working. Have your attorney contact USCIS asap and track where your application packet is.

your second one is much better.... a bit of advice on the first one: get that yellow thing out of there!!! You first one, is a bit unorganized, and well not really too interesting, no effects that grab your eyes. The second one, while very simplistic too at least has a much more pleasing layout. Keep at it - you're already improving.
