I have been in this country close to 11 years, and have PD of Feb 2004 EB3 India, and am thinking if I could apply for EB1 through another company than my employer. I am currently using EAD to work but I recently met someone who got GC through EB1 having started the process in 2008. I am really frustrated with the EB3 progress and have no hope so was thinking of this option. I have Masters with about 13 years of experience. Just wanted to check out if any of you are having similar thoughts and if this is a possible route ?
Also , is Labor substitution still a path or has that been blocked out ?

I think one always has to take PR claims with a few grains of salt (yes, including Canon's). As always, I'll wait for the reviews to come out before making any judgements, but I'm afraid unless Nikon does something about their lack of ultra-long primes with VR and their lack of any usable PC lenses, I'm going to be a Canon convert (if / when I go DSLR).

certainly it'll be a better 6MP image than before, but it won't have the pure resolution of a 1Ds or 14N.
Dynamic Range will be nice, but doesn't tip it over the edge. Why don't they go bigger in MP? One might ask.... I think they're finding it tough.. Somehow Canon has nailed it. Kodak couldn't.
Interesting times ahead!!

I was in a similar situation as you and had to use this firm. H1B filing experience was fine but the entire GC process and filing was not a good experience at all. There were days I had to call the paralegal and teach him the new immigration laws and that's never a good sign ! Because of their mistake I was stuck in Eb3 rather being in Eb2. May be they will deal differently with your case but have a chat with them and your company managers before you agree to use them. I m with another company and another attorney firm and they are awesome !

Please forgive my ignorance Gurus but I want to know when EAD is approved, how would one receive a SSN? Does that need to be applied separately at the local SSA office? If yes, then as per my understanding this would mean a further delay before one can start work, since it takes some time to receive a SSN.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I am referring a common scenario for all H4 visa holders who do not have a SSN.
Please share some knowledge on this.

I am from Ireland and its for a Multi national manager or executive. My attorney told me that form her experience it takes 4-6 weeks after approval of the I-140 as the visa numbers are current. Bit apprehensive to give the company as I dont see a need for anyone to know this info???

Raise has nothing to do with GC processing.Decision of Raise Limit is set by employer and promotion does comes with change in job description.Keep one thing in mind Corporations make profit out of everybody whether its customers or employees doesnt matter.Corporations exists to make profits.by the way do you work for non-profit organization ?? in that case things are a little different based on finanicial availability.

This visa is discretionary, and consulates could refuse to issue it. In addition, B-2 status does not allow the dependent partner to work in the US. Many heterosexual dependent spouses have a status that doesn't allow them to work either, however.

If I remember correctly, if your I-140 is "approved" and if your I-485 is pending for more than 180 days, then it "should not" be matter whether your I-140 is revoked or not.
In your case, if you get RFE (what for????) , just send the AC21 letter and you will be fine.
