I am a July 2 filer. I got 485 receipt notice from California Service Center with receipt date of july 2. Today, in mail, I got another notice called transfer notice, which states that my case has been transferred to Nebraska. The receipt date on the transfer notice is Sep 5. Is it nromal to have such diferent receipt dates? Will USCIS process by receipt date on receipt notice or on transfer notice?

This is clearly a case of pharma companies wanting to make more money. My question is, why target only immigrants? There is something fishy here. I dont buy their argument. Fuck the green card. I'm not putting my wife through this shit. The sad part is that everything is commercialized in USA. Dont bring it upon your health. This is looking down the stairs outside my office, saw this for the first time today. I had the wrong lens and no tripod, so I just shot a couple to get a feel for the motif. This was the least blurry of the bunch - handheld at 1/6s isn't my strongest skill. :)
What do you think, is this anything? It has been done a gadzillion times, but maybe one more is interesting? I'll go back this weekend when the place is empty, with a tripod, and get a bunch of different versions. Anything you'd advice in terms of composition, angle, lighting etc?

I own house too. My immediate goal would be to get my PERM and I-140 approved and with the help of approved I-140 get a 3 years extension so that i can stay and enjoy my new house for few more years. By the way i was in this queue in Mar06(my first perm) and Jun 07(My second perm) and now again in April 09. I am building my patience every year :D

Friends Hi:
We are leaving for India in January 2009. I have AP and EAD approved with expired H1B visa stamp on my passport with I-485 pending since July 2007. We have booked flights to Mumbai via Amsterdam (KLM -NWA). Do I still need to get a transit visa, even though our flight will be halting for few may be 3-4 hours at Amsterdam. I am super confused. Please guide.

My 485 was approved last week. Current status is Post Decison Activity. I've received Welcome Notice few days back.
It seems like USCIS automatically ported the PD.
My EB3 PD is April 2003 and working for the sponsored company.
I filed another 140 under EB2 through another company and it got approved 3 years back. I never joined in that company. I didn't port my EB3 PD when the EB2 140 was filed.
As a matter of fact, I completely forgot about this EB2 140 and this company.
All of a sudden, last week my 485 was approved with the EB2 PD which is Jan 2006.
I guess USCIS ported EB3-EB2 automatically. Is it normal?. What should I do?.
Please advice.

I have no idea why USCIS gave that reason. Actually, my company's attorney told that "USCIS denied H1B, because i don't have Computers background and am working as a Programmer Analyst".
That's all i know at this moment. I don't know whom to trust at this point.
When is your current I-94 expiring? If it has already expired, you need to act quick because you will be accruing unlawful presence from the date of denial. You should not have any issue w.r.t your educational background - I have seen people with textile engineering degree got their h1 and green card

I guess this community is not for willful violators like you. Here we are trying to share information from/for people who follow rules. There are many people (anti-immigration lobbyist and anti-H1b lobby) reading this forum. This will give impression as if this forum is for giving advise to people like you who do not care for the law and will give bad name to IV. I guess you should cough up some money and get advise from a good immigration lawyer. Also, I would suggest a moderator or administrator to look into this matter adn have this thread removed.
