Dear All,
It seems my company had audit and my employer was asked to submit client letters for all employees.
Q's is will it have any impact on 485 process for the employees in case of any issues in the company in other areas ?

It will be Parolee status (AOS Pending) and having AP is important at AOS stage...unless you dont have valid H1B or primary applicant 485 was approved..

Ajju, Mine & wife's applications for 485/EAD/AP reached Nebraska on 07/25/07 and I have receipt dates of 08/27/07. I'm yet to receive it from my lawyer. Found out the LIN #'s from the back of my encashed check. No finger print notice yet. I do not think every one who filed between 07/17/07 to 08/17/07 will have a receipt date of 07/17/07

8/27 should be your Notice Date... per online status it will say received on 8/27.. but its ND... Once you get physical receipts... the RD has to be 7/24 in all normal scenarios... But for July fiasco filers.. I think it could be just 7/17... Update once you get the physical receipts.. I may be wrong... just noticed this in one case only yet...

Your H1B is tied to your current company. If your new employer wants to hire you, they have to file a separate H1B for you.
So your answer should be. "I need H1B sponsorship to work."

I am new to this forum. Just registered myself. I hv a question if u guys can help. I got an RFE for I485 for employment verification. Lawyer says he sent the employer verification letter with his signature instead of employers bec employer has given him authorization to do so. can anyone do like this. does this pose a problem for my I485 approval. Hello All,
I need your advice. My H1B for first 3 years is expiring in Sep 09. I am a consultant and my project is till June 09. So I will be on bench after that till I get a new project. So if I have to file for extension should i file it now when I am in project or should i wait.
When I asked my employer about filing extension, they told that they are getting lot of queries these days. They even told be if my project is getting over early then its difficult to get an approved extension as these days they even have to send the contract letter of clients which do states that when my project is going to end.
So i need to know what are my options.
When Should I file for extension and is there any other options.

They are not liable to pay from the the day application was sent.
Instead, they are liable from the start date they requested on the petition OR the day you are physically in US whichever is later.
In most cases employers request immediate start dates so that the employee can start working as soon as the petition is sent (portability).

It is required that you send photos for your ead as they put your picture on the actual ead card. I did not apply for AP so I am not sure about the requirements for that. Good luck to you.
