I think If any Univercity needs total X credits to finish US MS then that univercity counts How many credits (Y) one has earned from his past education. So X-Y gives how many more need to earned to finish MS.

I am a founder team member of a high technology advanced material company, created with the help from a VC & active support of local congressman. We literally reopened a closed factory in Ohio to start this R&D / manufacturing company. ( Politicians have been making a lot of noise to revive manufacturing economy in Midwest)
We have hired about 18 people till now & we are NOT an IT company
I was accorded honorary citizenship by the mayor of city of Clinton, MS in 1989 for my extracurricular activities but did not move to US untill 2000
For last five years I have been through this immigration circus & had to file L/C multiple times. Currently, I am not able to file I-485 & I am in my 6th Year of H1-B

Every body else have misconception that retrogression -- backlog is affecting only software professionals(yes we are more number of affected people)

I am exactly doing the same thing that anandrajesh mentioned above. I have my tickets booked for Nov 21st and its already more than 60 days for me. I have called them to expedite it. will be faxing the documents and letter to local congressman and uscis ombudsman today. I am not even sure why we pay so much of money to these people and do all this to just do their work. But what can we do, we are at their mercy.

Regarding medical insurance, your company has to offer you COBRA..you will end up paying almost twice the premium that you have been paying so far, but it would still be better than you footing the delivery charges (10k - 25K). Continue CORBA atleast till the deliver and post-partum - for as long as possible..
As part of stimulus plan, you need to only pay one-third of the actual COBRA payment and you can avail this benefit for upto 9 months. In case you end up using it, this is a significant saving on your health insurance.

"Retrogression" is the word for the rest of the year for EB3 (I). Learn it, Leave it (eat it, sleep it, drink it - whichever way you want it).
How about Dec. 2000 EB3-I for incoming bulletin? Then "Retrogression at will" as we move forward for the rest of the year. Now don't ask me how because anything is possible with (fill in the blanks).

This rule of having at least one parent Indian citizen is in existence since atleast 2006. Just search around. I also know this as one of my close friend's OCI application was his kid was rejected based on this rule more than a couple of years ago !
You are correct. The rules must have changed recently. I wonder what made them make that change, Now children of US citizens (who were once Indian citizens) have an advantage over children who has both parents as Indian citizens. Weird.. isn't it?

If point sysem is introduced the big losers are immigration lawyers as they cannot make money in multiple stages. So no wonder if they oppose. Of course there is some limitations but its sucess depends on rules and regulations. Also there is going to be a Cap and there is going to be a provision to prevent displacement of US workers as the worldwide demand is always here. But main advantage is it will bring down the work load of various agencies like DOL and INS also employers.

at my last employer (a large, respectable financial firm), they kept saying "GC next year" till they said "GC last months of 5th year". I was just a few months from that time, but i quit them in disgust anyway. doing GC with them would have meant another 5-6 years with those creeps.
this is classic zero-sum thinking. you'll see it everywhere in the US. you just have to be sharper at seeing politics. only you can protect your interests.
my advice to IV is to associate with some labour union. those guys are corrupt, but at least they have some power.

How can ur case be preadjudicated, yet not assigned to an officer. For my wife's case wea re told several times that her case is not preadjudicated but is with an officer. My case is approved and the officer I talked to said that it seems that her case is with the same officer who approved my case...and that her case is pending possibly becoz of biom issues on my and her case...she said she is sending a request to upload the biom again...wait for 2 weeks...not sure if there will be any positive result but what can we do other that WAIT

I have one question: My I-485 applcation (employment based) was rejected due to I-130 attachment in error.
If USCIS reject my entire package of I-485 because I have attached I-130 application. What are my options? Is there any law that USCIS can only reject I-130 and accept I-485 appplications (myself and for my wife)? I have seperate fee checks for all the applications.
Please help me....

Made my second contribution last week.
Some of my utility bills and credit card companies did mistakes and overcharged me so all that credit coming back to me is on its way to IV !
Please $100 is not a lot folks, we definitely are not on minimum wage - look at the illegal immigrant forums, they are on minimum wages and they seem to be pitching more !
We can do this ! I just think about the core team in DC spending time and money for everyone so the least we can do is open our wallet, please, please, please !!
