No. Intel graphic card is not acceptable for me by any means.
I doubt backlit keyboard will come back on MBA. Apple is trying to differentiate the MBP and MBA. Backlit keyboard is one of their lists.
Bottom line, intel HD 3000 is a step back. I won't step back to upgrade and pay money.
I will wait for IVY Bridge Macbook air or liquid metal MBA in the future or Carbon Fiber.

What about downloading a heart shape image (found via Image Search, large or bigger) and use that as mask via the WAND tool?

I'm in Dallas and will not be getting the iPad2. I think Apple has enough of my cash. I have Macbook Pro, iPad 1, & iPhone 4...not to mention the first 3 iPhones that I bought. Anyway, I'm just glad to see how many people from DTown are on this forum!

Unfortunately, the republicans have fought tooth and nail against tax increases and have tried to balance a 26 billion dollar deficit with cuts. Not using VLC, but when I have wanted to extract audio from DVDs I've tended to use bbdemux http://sourceforge.net/projects/macbbdemux/ or bbdmux http://members.cox.net/beyeler/bbmpeg.html to first pull the audio out of the VOB and then converted it.
The other approach I have used is to use handbrake, and then demux out only the audio.

You should check out Air Video (the iOS app). It's the best solution I've found and with iOS 4.3 it works great for streaming all the .avi and .mkv movies on my HD to my apple TV via my iPhone.
It goes (Air Video server on computer) -> iOS device -> Apple TV.
It was probably the best $2.99 I've ever spent.
Yep, this is an awesome app. You have to manually download the BETA version of Air Video Server for it to do Video Airplay though. The regular release does not support it.
