Doesn't work for me. I have Opera and IE. Thats the first thing I tried this morning when I voted...but anyways we have put-in enought efforts to have 2 questions in first 10.

My attorney sent the I-485 papers on 7/16 and it reached NSC on 7/17 at 9:36AM. USCIS announcement to accept the applicatons was done on 7/17 evening. Will mine be in the potential rejection pile? Any input will be appreciated.

I know out of 3000 members, atleast 2500 would be looking at some forums in this site and posting some messages. WHy dont we show some single, double, triple,... up to 5 stars next to the username based on the contributions.

Good development. Lets see whether they follow up on this or not.
CIR is difficult due to political landscape. piecemeal approach has the
most likelihood of success especially it is attached to FB category.
On the downside, such bill are tabled every year and they die a natural death.
Visa recapture might since 1992 might greatly reduce the backlog.

First of all, Thanks to IV core and everyone else who made this possible.
I agree 100% with the original poster. While it may seem
like we have won, it's really a very small relief.
We need to push for the resolution that requires the unused numbers to be used and also for some way to increase that number. It may seem like a distant dream and too big of a task but WE MUST NOT LOSE THE MOMENTUM. The worst thing about waiting for years after years is that we can not plan our lives. Using EAD could be much more complex compared to just gettting it. So in most cases you end you giving 5-10 golden years of your career. While I understand that we have made this choice to stay here and that green card is not our birth right, I think it is very dangerous to accept the status quo and to not ask for a better life.

IV's goal is to fight retrogression. So whoever wants to fight retrogression should stay on board.
However, it is the privilege of a few affected people to discuss their problems on these threads. You are not obligated to follow these discussions if they are not to your taste. It is a legitimate question. Clearly USCIS is using one interpretation of the law while there is another possible one.
The discussion here doesn't mean that IV will flip tomorrow and say they will fight for only India/China EB2s.
Anytime such discussions come up, invariably a few people jump on board threatening to quit IV. Who are you threatening? Are you helping yourself by quitting the fight to solve your problem?

Interpretation of the law is also subjective.

Do you think the drive would have reached its original goal yesterday/early today without the January visa bulletin retrogressing us even further...?
I have my doubts about that... :)
And how far in the past would we need to retrogress to get another funding drive done...?

I dont think theres any doubt in the value iv is providing - selling it is the issue. I can be proved wrong in a month but the ongoing funding drive is kind of a ray of hope that people will be willing to give both time & money to help themselves and others.

today, status changed to notice sent, status moved back to decision

I have very high regards for Aman due to his dedicated efforts. 64K he spent is the big big amount as an individual.
I suggest, lets have a request to Bollywood artist to organize some shows at USA in benefit of IV (they may give us some discount). We shall pay back 63K to Aman (IV can keep 1k as his contribution).
Other option is 630 people should contribute $100 each to pay back Aman. I received my green card and ready to contribute $100 to this account. I already contributed $700.
