Yes its is a very good development....especially a hispanic lobby group is saying this.
Still other allied group need to eventually come to the conclusion and only then it can
happen.
The Hispanic lobby is agitating for the Dream Act which is held up by CIR.
But fight is not over yet. The nursing lobby is also focusing on this.
If piecemeal happens, a major fight will erupt between
Eb2/3 crowd and the nursing lobby over who gets to feast on the recaptured visas.
Nursing lobby wants the recaptured visas first.

Hello all,
For past few months I hear some noice on the web that USCIS may be changing its policy soon by discontinuing Concurrent filing and allowing people to file I485 If I140 is approved irrespetive of visa number availability. How far this is true, have any body got more details on this ?? :confused:
there was a proposal a while ago to stop allowing concurrent filing, but I have only heard about filing of 485 without an I-140 from people who wish for that, nothing from USCIS.
Something like that requires a change in the law, its not a matter of USCIS policy

The bill aims to maintain national economic and scientific leadership by: supporting basic research; improving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education; and fostering innovation, especially the development of new energy technologies.
Nothing much or anything significant....a broad high level to do things...like science and technology education to be improved...

Looks like AGjOBS bill has good chance of passing. Does anyone know what the definition of agricultural worker is ?
Could one by considered agricultural worker if they are in landscaping business ? what about in agricultural sales.
We are about to see creation of huge black market for documents claiming someone is farmer if this rule is passed.
Can one be illegally working as Ag worker while on H1 ? :)

Hi guys,
I hit a road block lately with my new H1B application. I'm on extended OPT and filed for my H1B in regular processing in the month of Sep'10 while working for a Client A. The Client A could not provide an Client letter during that time. My employer has then proceeded with a letter from my Prime Vendor . Then, unfortunately after 1 month of filing my H1B, my contract with Client A ended and I moved to another contract with Client B. Now, USCIS had few questions with Client A because of missing client letter and gave a RFE on my case. My employer then responded with an amendment petition to the RFE with the new Client B and also provided a client letter from Client B this time around. But, unfortunately USCIS has rejected the amendment petition and stated they are looking for Client A stuff as the primary H1B application has listed Client A and now, I just received an update that my H1B has been denied stating the same reason that USCIS is still looking for response to the query on primary client (Client A). I'm really struck now as my employer is in no mans land whether to file for a MTR or not, fearing that USCIS might not change the verdict because they might still look for Client A letter.
I need your valuble advice in this situation ASAP.
